Kingman native Andy Devine was a man of many talents. Thanks to an unusual voice, he became famous for character roles in radio, television, stage and over 400 films. He may be best known for his role as Jingles in Wild Bill Hickok, starring Guy Madison in the 1950’s. He shared stage and screen time with many of the “greats” including John Wayne, Bing Crosby, Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda. Andy Devine is one of the best known “side-kicks” in entertainment history and a beloved tourist attraction.
