Kingman held its first ever City Expo yesterday on Beale Street by the train park. All city departments had booths and displays designed to inform and engage all visitors. The Kingman Club of Kiwanis International, whose motto is “Serving the children of the World”, were on hand providing a valuable service by cooking 600 hotdogs that were given away free to attendees. City departments such as police, fire, sanitation, power, and road maintenance showed off their vehicles and explained their services. Sanitation and the Clean City Commission shared news of correct ways to recycle and changes in the local recycling program’s dropoff locations. Clean City’s mascot Phil D. Bin was also in attendance to the delight of children. Music was playing and people that attended gathered lots of info about city services and exchanged feedback with department members.
