Kingman is nestled on the eastern edge of the Mohave desert, and is located in a “cold semi-arid climate” instead of the hot desert. Our climate type receives more rain then the harsh desert climate found South and West of us, in the winter time low temperatures are significantly colder. Kingman’s location and high elevation between the Lower Colorado River Valley and the Colorado Plateau keeps our summer temperatures away from extreme levels experienced by Phoenix and the Colorado River Valley. The higher elevation also helps to keep our winters cold with some occasional snowfall. Our summer days reach above 90 degrees but very rarely will they exceed the 107 degree marker. Winter day highs range from 50 to 65 degrees with winter night lows often dropping to freezing. Kingman weather is spot on! We enjoy our seasonal changes and love our winter days!
