Mohave Museum of History and Arts along Historical Route 66 in Kingman, AZ is a treat for tourists and residents alike. Breath-taking murals and dioramas, painted by well-known Southwest artist, Roy Purcell, showcase the history of mankind in Mohave County from pre-historic times to today. Purcell is also known for the famous “Journey” murals located near Chloride, AZ on a cliff face. In addition, the Hualapai Indian room includes artifacts of the local Native Peoples, a collection of hand-woven Navajo rugs, pottery including 2nd or 3rd century pottery pieces made by Hohokam Indians, and much more.
